About this role

University of Iowa Healthcare is looking to hire a 100%25 Administrative Services Coordinator in the Children's and Women's Services Division.

Position Specific Summary

Provides administrative support for administrator(s) within Children’s and Women’s Services.  This position provides direct support for Director of CWs and his/her leadership team within CWS division including data management, required documentation, patient/family and administrative inquiries, Standards of Practice and Policies, confidential information, and Human Relations support. Uses discretion when providing factual and confidential data.  Must have knowledge of Children’s Hospital, Division, and Institutional workings. Daily use of personal computers, staff access security, Word, Excel, and Publisher 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate daily office operations related to daily schedules and special projects
  • Coordinate annual staff evaluation processes including sending e-mails for peer reviews, tracking when peer reviews and self-evaluations are completed, and pulling additional data as requested by Director.  Schedule appointments, schedule meetings, information requests
  • Pull budget information from multiple sources into a single spreadsheet for the Director to analyze
  • Draft Correspondence and announcements and distribute on behalf of leadership    
  • Maintain and update nursing-based web site containing policies and procedures
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • Some (6 months – 1 year) administrative, office coordination or financial experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.  Role models service excellence.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced office environment.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Ability to analyze data and apply critical thinking skills.
  • Previous experience working in a health care setting.
  • Previous experience working with service excellence/customer focused environment
  • Knowledge of University of Iowa policies/procedures
