Salary/Pay Range: $ 27.00 - 34.00 hourly. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications. This position is Non-Exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.

Because this appointment is temporary, you will not be eligible to receive all of the benefits normally provided to members of the university staff under the standard University of Colorado benefits programs. You are not eligible to receive paid vacation leave, medical, or retirement benefits. However, you are eligible to accrue sick leave and you will accrue 0.034 hours of sick leave per hour worked.
Summary
The Payroll Specialist supports the Human Resources Operations team during the PeopleSoft Time & Labor implementation. This position will take on various tasks related to the legacy timekeeping system and other duties related to this project implementation. This position requires a strong awareness of data integrity, attention to confidentiality, and the ability to navigate complex HRIS systems and processes in support of campus-wide HR functions.
Essential Functions
The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
(95%25) Human Resources Operations
Uses Oracle PeopleSoft HR system HCM to provide accurate and timely entry of appointments into the HCM system for payroll, and ensure accuracy and compliance with hiring, promotional, and additional compensation rules and guidelines for faculty, university staff, and classified staff appointments.
