Job Title:  Clinical Faculty – Open (Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice or Associate Professor of Clinical Practice)

Job Summary:

The Division of Rheumatology at the University of Colorado, seeks a new faculty member with mature clinical skills to practice at the UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital. This 1.0 FTE position would involve a range of general rheumatology outpatient care, interaction with other subspecialties in the facility, and linkage back to the main campus.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Clinical duties include outpatient clinical care at the UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital.

·         Teaching and supervision activities may include bedside teaching of advanced practice providers.

·         Academic responsibilities may include active participation in rheumatology conferences with the Anschutz Medical Campus, quality improvement initiatives or other scholarly activities.

·         Interactions with faculty at the Anschutz Campus and clinical research collaborations are highly encouraged.

·         The clinician will have an opportunity for academic promotion judged on criteria of demonstrated excellence as a clinician, educator and scholar

Work Location:

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in the Denver metro area (Denver, CO)

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice

  • MD or DO. Board certified or board-eligible in rheumatology.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology. Current State of Colorado Medical License and DEA by the employment start date. 0-7 years’ experience as an MD or DO

Associate Professor of Clinical Practice)

  • MD or DO. Board certified or board-eligible in rheumatology.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology. Current State of Colorado Medical License and DEA by the employment start date. 7+ years’ experience as an MD or DO

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.

  • Outstanding customer service skills.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

Assistant Professor: $200,000-$241,469 for a 1.0 FTE

Associate Professor: $220,000- $272,492 for a 1.0 FTE.

If applicable, a quality and/or productivity bonus may be offered.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
