Job Summary:

This Clinical Associate Professor position will report to the chair of the department of Cell & Developmental Biology but work in the Modern Human Anatomy Program (MHA). The incumbent will direct student MHA research projects and provide contact and support for our current, very large, cohort of pre-dental students. This position is a 0.05 FTE position.

Work Location:

This role is expected to work onsite and is located at the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO.

The neuroscience community at the University of Colorado School of Medicine is equally diverse, with faculty in several basic science and clinical departments. There is a strong interdepartmental Neuroscience Graduate Program: https://www.cuanschutz.edu/graduate-programs/neuroscience/home, which has approximately 50 graduate students working in laboratories in basic science and clinical departments. 

The Department of Cell and Developmental Biology is one of six basic science departments in the School of Medicine on the Anschutz Medical Campus at the University of Colorado. New faculty will join a growing enterprise with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities on the Anschutz Medical Campus (please visit www.medschool.ucdenver.edu/cdb). This campus opened 20 years ago and continues to build new research and clinical buildings, along with a growing bioscience park.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. 

Candidates must hold a DDS or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates should have a strong record of educational support and coaching and mentoring graduate students, in addition to extensive experience and research in the dental field. Background in engineering and experience with milling, 3D scanning, and 3D printing is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to guide and support students in dental based capstone projects.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

$7,500 per annum

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
