Job Summary:

The Division of Renal Diseases and Hypertension at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a board-certified Nephrology physician scientist at the Assistant Professor level with training and interest in deciphering novel mechanism of disease in lupus nephritis.

The candidate’s primary responsibilities will be to conduct impactful research in the area of immune-complex disease and lupus nephritis. In addition, the candidate will have clinical responsibilities in the inpatient, outpatient and dialysis services. The ideal candidate will have a record of scholarly productivity, and mentorship.

The candidate will be recommended for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct mechanistic studies in immune-complex disease and lupus nephritis

  • Publish original research findings

  • Apply for continual grant funding

  • 25-30%25 clinical effort on the inpatient, outpatient and dialysis services.

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

  • Have an MD, PhD, MD/PhD, DO, or international equivalent terminal degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in clinical research.

  • Accomplishment in research scholarship

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

$220,000-230,000

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
