Your Role on the Team

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Imaging Services Manager. In this hybrid position, you will perform a full range of basic diagnostic radiologic exams and procedures in addition to the advanced level of diagnostic exams and interventional procedures in Computed Tomography (CT). Procedures are performed according to departmental protocols, policies, and procedures, and in accordance with the established standards of practice and American College of Radiology (ACR). Applicants must have their current California license for diagnostic imaging and fluoroscopy, ARRT (CT) registration, and BLS certification.


What It Takes to be Successful

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education: Knowledge and education necessary to obtain Radiologic Technologist certification from the state of California
     
  • Current California Radiologic Technologist license.
     
  • Current CT Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
     
  • Current registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
     
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System


Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year training or experience in CT scanning done at an acute hospital setting preferred.
  •  Knows cross sectional anatomy, understands contrast procedures, biopsy procedures, knows all diagnostic x-ray procedures including c-arm and portable procedures.
  • Can differentiate between normal and some abnormal anatomy on CT scan.
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
