Summary of Job Duties:

The Web Manager will serve as the webmaster for the Graduate School and International Education's website and all unit subsites. This position will work with multiple constituents throughout the unit to design, develop, implement, support, and manage web-delivered content. This position will serve as the primary source for evaluating and prioritizing web and digital content needs and feature requests from multiple constituencies, recommend new web strategies and guide constituencies to maximize benefit. This position will develop new content areas for web sites as needed.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job function of this job, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • At least two years of experience developing websites

  • Experience working in the following technologies: HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, JavaScript

  • Web Design experience

  • Experience identifying hardware/software interface problems

  • Experience with interactive debugging and testing and analyzing failures

  • Familiarity with current web technologies such as HTML5, XHTML, JavaScript and CSS as evidenced by application materials

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as evidenced by application materials

Educational equivalencies for the above qualifications will also be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fluency with WCAG 2.x AA

  • User Experience Certification

  • Experience with Slate and Slate Deliver

  • Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, PowerApps)

  • Two or more years of experience as a web manager

  • Knowledge of search engine optimization and content strategy

  • Knowledge of emerging web trends such as GEO

  • Experience with Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and cross-platform analytical reporting

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of current web design trends

  • Knowledge of client/server, database, and web-based technologies

  • Knowledge of web and data security
