Summary of Job Duties:

The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for facilities & grounds maintenance, construction, general labor demands, and other maintenance related job duties in support of the Little Rock State Office.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; plus one year of experience or training in the building construction trades, general building maintenance, or in the repair or maintenance of mechanical equipment. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of basic carpentry, electrical systems, plumbing, painting, & heating & air conditioning. Knowledge of the operation, maintenance, & safety requirements of motorized vehicles & equipment. Ability to operate & perform routine maintenance & minor repairs on motorized vehicles & equipment. Ability to perform routine building & grounds maintenance work. Ability to use, operate, & maintain electrical tools & machinery.
