Summary of Job Duties:

Shift: Weekends, 10 hours per day, Saturday & Sunday

The Occupational Therapist performs evaluations and establishes plans of care, including goals and discharge recommendations. The OT provides daily treatment to promote functional independence and modifies treatment programs. Performs documentation in EHR. Coordinates/communicates with interdisciplinary team. Participates in program improvement, clinical education, and customer service standards.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy PLUS two (2) years of experience in Occupational Therapy OR Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy

  • Certified by the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) or eligible to apply for the examination

  • Current Arkansas Occupational Therapy License or eligible to obtain license within one (1) month of date of hire

  • Intermediate computer skills (MS Office preferred)


Additional Information:

Responsibilities:

  • Performs comprehensive examination of patients using appropriate tests/measures, completes the evaluation, and formulates an individualized plan of care.

  • Provides evidence-based quality patient treatment and education, and monitors patients for physiological status during sessions.

  • Responsive to needs/requests outside of direct patient care.

  • May include serving as a Clinical Instructor, providing presentations, serving on committees/teams, performing program development/projects, developing educational materials, providing education to coworkers after attending continuing education that was supported by travel or educational leave, etc.

  • Completes accurate and thorough documentation promptly following regulatory policies.

  • Submits accurate and complete charges and daily summary sheets.

  • Consistently meets departmental productivity targets.

  • Adheres to UAMS/Department policy for attendance.

  • Reports for all scheduled shifts on time and completes shift duties.

  • Other duties as assigned
