Summary of Job Duties:
The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)/Physician Assistant (PA) in the Behavioral Health Service Line Inpatient Unit will augment the psychiatrist’s ability to provide medical services to patients – collect and document data, conduct diagnostic procedures, order and schedule laboratory studies and professional consultations, and provide direct patient care services.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
APRN
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a Master's Degree in Nursing
- Current and valid Registered Nurse License in the State of Arkansas
- APRN License (PMHNP - Psychiatry Specialty)
- National Certification as an APRN
PA
- Master's Degree in Physician Assistant studies
- Physician Assistant Certificate of Registration with the Arkansas Medical Board
- Physician Assistant Certificate by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
Both
- Prescriptive authority and DEA license must be obtained after hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- Psychiatry inpatient experience
- Current BLS
