About this role

Lerner Tower 9 is a surgical floor. We are a nationally recognized solid organ transplant floor, caring for the transplants of liver, kidney and pancreas. Our staff is specially trained to take care of the patients directly from the PACU, so they can bypass the ICU. We also care for bariatric surgery patients and all abdominal surgeries, so we have a wide variety of learning opportunities.

Position Requirements

Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status. Dimensions are:

  • Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship based nursing care.
  • Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes.
  • Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations.
  • Develops self and contributes to the professional practice of nursing.
  • Displays leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes
  • Displays the mission of the hospital and its values.


Education Requirements

  • Diploma RN, Associate or Bachelor's Degree of Nursing from an accredited program

License & Certification Requirements

  • An Ohio RN license is not required to be considered for this position. If selected to move forward, employment offers may be made contingent on candidate successfully obtaining RN license within time frame discussed at the time of offer acceptance. 
  • Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation.

Note: Education and degree verification will be required upon receiving a job offer.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • BSN preferred
  • Prior experience on a related unit or specialty in a practicum, internship or STNA/PCNA/NAII is preferred
