About this role

Responsibilities

The primary purpose of the Inventory Control Technician position in the Operating Room is to coordinate and oversee the ordering of supplies and equipment for the Operating Room. Accountable also for identifying cost reduction programs and for justifying budgetary variances. Under the direction of the Supervisor is responsible for oversight of Inventory management, including maintenance, repair, and coordination of equipment and instrumentation

Qualifications

High school diploma or two (2) years materials management experience, preferably in materials management in acute care hospital, required. Knowledge of medical and/or surgical supplies and equipment preferred. Experience in computer systems and/or purchasing highly desirable
