Job Description
Film Society Producer
The Film Producer serves the Film Society brand for Pointer Studios. This person is responsible for the management of Film Society content, finding student-written work to produce, filling positions for unpaid on-screen/behind the scenes talent, and the screening and archival of the above mentioned content.
Manage all content under the Film Society branch
Find and produce student work
Fill positions for all on-screen and behind the scenes work
Manage both students and community members for film related projects
Host and plan events
Film Screenings
48 Hour Film Festival
Short-Film Productions
Required Qualifications
Students applying for this position must pass a Criminal Background Check.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference goes to:
Media Studies, Writing/English, or other Communication majors
People with a passion for making media related projects
People passionate about storytelling
Adobe and editing software knowledge
Those who have participated in Pointer Studios related events
Education
Available for the academic year and maintains a cumulative GPA of a 2.0 or above.
