DUTIES
This is a support position for the Central Stores Warehouse & Mail Services.
There are several different parts to this position, changing by student availability. It can include any of the following:
Picking up UWSP mail at the USPS in Stevens Point
Sorting USPS mail for on-campus delivery
Delivering USPS mail to the academic bldgs./Picking up outgoing mail at the academic bldgs.
Delivering packages from UPS/FedEx to academic bldgs
Checking out parts from Central Stores for technicians
Picking/Delivering Central Stores orders for campus
Misc clerical and janitorial (basic housekeeping for the warehouse) duties
Special Projects as assigned
You can work as little as 1 shift per week or several, and there is the opportunity for Winterim/Summer employment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
You will be required to drive a state vehicle, so you will need to meet the following qualifications:
Have a valid driver’s license
More than 2 years of licensed driving experience
Less than three moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the past two years
No OWI or DUI violation within the past year
In addition, one must be flexible, as every day will likely be different. Attention to detail and accuracy are a must, as well as good customer service skills. Proficiency with computers (familiar with Word, Excel, etc) is a bonus.
