About the position:
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Account Coordinator is responsible for supporting the sales cycle by providing continuous assistance to Account Managers. They will act as a liaison between customers and various departments within the organization in order to increase collaboration and improve efficiency.

What you’ll do:

  • Actively work with account managers to develop new business and create growth within Univar’s current customer base
  • Be a secondary point of contact for customers to ensure requests are reviewed efficiently
  • Support account managers with daily requests pertaining to sample requests, pricing supports, and other
  • Assist account managers with customer annual reviews
  • Work with internal staff to ensure Univar delivers exceptional customer service
  • Support sales team with price entry and maintenance
  • Assist with product code setup
  • Perform material searches verifying lead time, and MOQ
  • Work with the Technical Services team to prepare sample requests and fulfill technical document requests
  • Liaise with Product Management to share information with customers and account managers
  • Other duties as required

 

What you’ll need:

  • A College diploma or University degree in a related program (chemistry, sales) and two (2) years’ experience in sales or customer service is required
  • Must have very strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently, demonstrates initiative and possess strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Must work well under pressure and be able to prioritize and multitask
