Job Description: The Senior Estimator will play a critical role in producing accurate, competitive, and timely project cost estimates. This position requires a highly experienced, detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a solid background in construction or landscaping estimation. The Senior Estimator will support profitability and operational efficiency by providing reliable cost data, mentoring junior estimators informally, and contributing to consistent estimating practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and services.

Review plans, specifications, and proposal requirements to develop competitive bids and budgets.

Coordinate the collection of bid inputs from internal departments, subcontractors, and vendors.

Serve as a key point of contact for pricing discussions with vendors and subcontractors to secure fair and competitive costs.

Identify cost risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to support budget control and margin improvement.

Maintain and utilize historical cost data to support forecasting, benchmarking, and future estimates.

Support continuous improvement of estimating processes, tools, and standard procedures.

Provide guidance and technical support to junior estimators as needed (non-supervisory).
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business or a related field.

5+ years of estimating experience in construction and/or landscaping.

Strong knowledge of materials, labor, methods, and cost structures.

Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines in a fast paced environment
