  • Innovation Project Management Office (PMO): Expert project managers accelerating innovation speed to market across Unilever’s Business Groups, Business Units, and 1 UL.
  • Marketing Digital Solutions: Designers and architects of scalable marketing technology platforms, like Asset Bank, housing over 2 million advertising assets.

Position Summary

This role is part of the Innovation Project Management team, responsible for delivering effective integrated project management support across categories in North America. It supports the Innovation PMO Director with planning team workload and capacity, driving PMO OKRs, and improving projects OTIF. Accountable for NA LT reporting (OTIF, projects RAG status, benchmarking, and lessons learned).

Position Responsibilities

  • Provide effective project management support for NA projects delivered by UL Partner (Capgemini).
  • Oversee NA Innovation PMO operations, working with senior stakeholders across all categories to understand strategic priorities and objectives. Attend LT meetings as required to provide visibility of PMO offerings, project pipeline, and capacity.
  • Define and implement PMO service offerings to establish Innovation PMO as a Centre of Excellence. Lead key workstreams of the PMO roadmap to enhance offerings.
  • Drive best-in-class reporting and quality data using tools and systems for accurate and timely reporting. Promote Phoenix across the division and support system updates.
  • Develop and implement process enhancements and improvements to enable timely delivery of complex innovation projects.
  • Lead a team of Project Managers and remote Associate Project Managers (internal FTEs and third-party representatives), ensuring superior and reliable project delivery.
  • Represent and advocate for the Innovation PMO team in various forums.

Geographical Scope

Supports the North America region, engaging with key stakeholders across all categories.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong NPD and innovation process knowledge.
  • Proven experience in project delivery within fast-paced environments.
  • External project management certification (IPMA, APM, PMI, Prince2).
  • Skilled in MS Project.
  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communicator with influencing capabilities.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to hold teams accountable for OKRs.
  • Risk and issue management experience.
  • Professional, positive, and adaptable approach.
  • Experience leading virtual teams across diverse cultures.

Experience Required

  • Solid understanding of innovation/NPD processes.
  • Background as Supply Chain Innovation Planner.
