About us:

UMO is a stealth-mode FinTech venture aiming to evolve the way people experience money by building a unified, AI-powered, yet deeply human modern money platform across fiat, crypto, and investments—subject to regulatory approvals. The platform is being designed to break down traditional barriers to money across access, assets, and experience, enabling simpler, more adaptive ways for people to interact with financial services.

We are currently developing our MVP and navigating licensing requirements, with a multidisciplinary team of 100+ people representing 20+ nationalities. With our headquarters in the UAE and offices in Portugal and Ukraine, we are united behind a shared ambition and a relentless focus on serving our customers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, detect, and respond to security events across cloud infrastructure, applications, and internal systems
  • Maintain and improve SIEM, SOAR, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, and log management solutions
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and coordinate incident response processes, ensuring timely remediation
  • Perform continuous vulnerability scanning, prioritization, and remediation in collaboration with DevOps, Backend, and Product Engineering teams
  • Build and enforce infrastructure security standards, including IAM policies, secrets management, and least-privilege access
  • Support secure SDLC practices and ensure security controls are integrated into CI/CD pipelines
  • Participate in threat modeling, risk assessments, and periodic penetration testing
  • Implement and automate security playbooks, monitoring rules, and alerting mechanisms
  • Collaborate with compliance to maintain certifications and external audit readiness (ISO27001, SOC2, PCI DSS)
  • Provide guidance and training to engineering teams on secure practices, tooling, and incident prevention


Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in Security Operations, Cloud Security, or Incident Response
  • Strong understanding of cloud security architecture (preferably AWS)
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM/SOAR platforms (Splunk, ELK, Wazuh, Sentinel, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of detection engineering, threat hunting, and log correlation
  • Experience with vulnerability management tools (Qualys, Nessus, OpenVAS)
  • Knowledge of container security (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
  • Familiarity with identity & access management, secrets management, and zero-trust concepts
  • Understanding of common attack techniques (MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP) and secure coding principles
  • Experience automating security tasks using Python, Bash, or similar
  • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
  • Experience in fintech, crypto, or other high-security environments is a plus
