Responsibilities
 
The Consultant – UKG Pro (Benefits Domain) is responsible for designing, configuring, and implementing Benefits solutions within the UKG Pro platform. This role requires expertise in MSSQL for reporting, interfaces, and troubleshooting, along with indepth domain knowledge of Benefits administration and integration.
 
The successful candidate will work with USbased clients to analyze requirements, configure Benefits modules, and build customized SQLbased solutions that integrate seamlessly with client environments. The Consultant will partner closely with UKG Project Managers to ensure successful and timely implementations, upgrades, and ongoing support.
 
Key responsibilities include:
 
Understanding customer requirements related to Benefits setup, eligibility, enrollment, and compliance.
Designing, configuring, and implementing Benefits modules within UKG Pro.
Creating and maintaining MSSQL queries, stored procedures, and reports to support Benefits processing and integrations.
Developing inbound/outbound interfaces with thirdparty Benefits providers.
Preparing and maintaining design documents, configuration guides, and test scripts.
Supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and resolving issues during test cycles.
Deploying solutions to production environments and providing transitiontosupport documentation.
Upgrading clients to newer UKG Pro releases and ensuring Benefits functionality is delivered seamlessly.
Collaborating with customers during evening calls (as needed) to align with US time zones and project schedules.
Supporting major Benefits releases, open enrollment cycles, and compliance updates.
 
 
 
Qualifications
 
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
2–5 years of industry experience, preferably in HR/Payroll/Benefits systems.
Strong expertise with MSSQL (queries, stored procedures, performance tuning, troubleshooting).
Handson experience configuring Benefits modules within HCM systems (preferably UKG Pro).
Solid understanding of Benefits administration (eligibility rules, enrollment, open enrollment, COBRA, ACA, 401k, etc.).
Experience integrating with thirdparty providers for Benefits (healthcare, retirement, insurance vendors).
Knowledge of data mapping, ETL processes, and interface design.
Familiarity with HR/Payroll processes; HCM domain knowledge is a plus.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong analytical, problemsolving, and customerfacing skills.
