Nurse Manager Position Summary:

Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Manager to lead and support our nursing team across all inpatient units. This strategic leadership role is essential to upholding our commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care in alignment with the hospital’s mission and guiding principles. The Nurse Manager will be responsible for supervising daily nursing operations, coordinating staff assignments, supporting clinical education, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Nurse Manager Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide strong, supportive leadership and clinical oversight for nursing staff.
  • Manage daily staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage across all units.
  • Collaborate with the CNO and ACNO to ensure nursing staff meet educational and competency requirements.
  • Serve as a resource and backup for the House Supervisor as needed.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and assist in developing and implementing corrective action plans.
  • Identify and lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
  • Obtain and maintain certifications as a CPR Instructor and Crisis Prevention & Behavioral Management Intervention (Handle With Care) Trainer; assist with staff training sessions.

 

Nurse Manager Shift:

Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 40 Hours per Week

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing with Bachelor's Degree in nursing required.

Experience: Two years of supervisory or management experience and staffing expereince is preferred 

Licensure: Current RN license in the state of Texas

Certifications: Successful completion of CPR and Handle With Care certification; certifications may be obtained during orientation.
