Rivendell Behavioral Health Services of Arkansas is looking for an Assessment and Referral Representative. This position is imperative to our success at Rivendell. The position requires one to handle a multitude of situations and patient populations, as well as being able to communicate effectively and efficiently with referral sources. Below are the main job duties of the Assessment and Referral Representative, other job duties may be given.

 

JOB DUTIES:

  • Receives inquiry/referral calls, completes inquiry/referral form on each call, schedules assessment and completes follow-up on all inquiry and referral calls.
  • Assists in scheduling admissions of patients to hospital.
  • Records information that identifies referral source and patient.
  • Ensures all payor sources are verified. Completes financial packet when appropriate.
  • Completes admission process and distributes documents to the appropriate departments. Record and screen clothing and valuables of patients upon admission.
  • Interviews patient and family to gather information to assist licensed professional in determining appropriate level of care.
  • Obtain signature or appropriate consent and other admission forms from legally responsible person.
  • Assign patient and Account numbers.
  • Ensures communication of special treatment needs/concerns to appropriate departments through participation in continuity of care meetings or other means of communication.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Nursing, or related field from an accredited college or university.

 

CPR and Handle with Care training/certification required and can be provided upon hire at the facility.

 

Must be willing to work as a team with all staff. Must be able to treat all patients with respect.
