UGL are currently looking for multiple experienced (HV Substation) Electricians to join our Utilities division. The project is based in Neerabup, WA working a Monday to Saturday roster.
Responsibilities and accountabilities include but not limited to:
• Ensure a safe working condition is present for all employees, contractors and visitors;
• Install electrical equipment such as but not limited to switchboards, control panels, switchgear, fittings, cabling, earthing systems, and control systems;
• Test and commission of electrical systems; and
• Complete certification for completed works and issue a certificate of compliance.
Qualifications And Experience Required:
• WA Electrical Licence
• White Card
• LV Rescue and CPR
• Provide First Aid
• High Risk Work Licence – Work Platform
• Working at Heights/Confined Spaces
• High risk work licenses for EWP, forklift or telehandler (Desirable)
• Drivers License
We are looking for people who have previous experience working on Substations, preferably with high voltage experience.

About UGL Limited
UGL Regional Linx was established in 2021, after parent company, UGL Limited was selected to deliver operations and maintenance of rail infrastructure for the Country Regional Network (CRN). This network ensures the safe movement of people and goods throughout the regions of NSW, and links Sydney with many important regional centres.
UGL Regional Linx commenced operations on January 30 2022 and works on behalf of the client, Transport for NSW (TfNSW) and will be responsible for managing an important network of assets. As part of its operation, UGL Regional Linx’s scope of work includes:
• Network operations
• Rail infrastructure maintenance and implementation of a new train control system - UGL’s proprietary system, Sigview.
• Asset and property management, and
• Safety, access, performance, and environmental management.
UGL Regional Linx has made a strong commitment to local and indigenous employment, further strengthening the organisation’s commitment to regional NSW. As part of its operations, UGL Regional Linx established its head office and Network Control Centre in the heart of the Central West, Orange, NSW.
The CRN network includes:
• 2,386 route kilometres of operational passenger and freight rail lines, including 996 km of branch line track used predominantly for haulage of grain, with lower mass and speed limits than other parts of the network
• 3,139 route kilometres of non-operational lines
• 27,000 hectares of land and infrastructure
• 1,312 level crossings (300 active)
• 1,200 property assets (including 356 heritage sites)
• 600 rail under bridges and 384 road overbridges

What you'll do
- The Substation Electrician will ensure safe working conditions and install various electrical equipment. Responsibilities also include testing and commissioning electrical systems and completing certification for works.
