UGL Transport Major Projects division is seeking an experienced Signalling Superintendent to join the team in Brisbane and be part of the Logan Gold Coast Faster Rail Project.

About the role

The role of the Signalling Superintendent is to coordinate all direct report site employees, plant resources and subcontract teams to achieve quality and safety objectives in accordance with the project programmes and schedules.

·       Maintaining a comprehensive working knowledge of the contract, the specifications, the EBA and safety and environmental regulations

·       Effectively coordinating and supervising the utilisation of all on-site resources for the project

·       Ensuring all workers are inducted onto site before commencing work

·       Monitoring construction progress and compliance to safety and environmental standards

·       Attends site meetings with senior management to discuss progress of project, safety and the environment, IR and other project issues within the project area

About You 

·       Minimum 12 years relevant experience with a minimum 6 years’ experience as a Supervisor

·       Experience working on large rail projects

·       Experienced with Signalling packages of work

·       Managed self and resources to deliver work to between $10M and $50M

·       Must have an Australian Drivers Licence

·       Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.

About UGL Limited

UGL Regional Linx was established in 2021, after parent company, UGL Limited was selected to deliver operations and maintenance of rail infrastructure for the Country Regional Network (CRN). This network ensures the safe movement of people and goods throughout the regions of NSW, and links Sydney with many important regional centres.

• 2,386 route kilometres of operational passenger and freight rail lines, including 996 km of branch line track used predominantly for haulage of grain, with lower mass and speed limits than other parts of the network
• 3,139 route kilometres of non-operational lines
• 27,000 hectares of land and infrastructure
• 1,312 level crossings (300 active)
• 1,200 property assets (including 356 heritage sites)
• 600 rail under bridges and 384 road overbridges

The CRN is a crucial piece of infrastructure to regional NSW and UGL Regional Linx is committed to ensure that it delivers for all customers, from rail passengers to farmers and industry.
