Part time Receptionist - 6 Months Fixed Term
Monday - Friday 12pm-5pm - Immediate Start
About the role
We have an opportunity for a Receptionist to join UGL on a part time job share basis to commence immediately on a 6 month term. You will be based in our beautiful and centrally located corporate head office in North Sydney. The building is less than 5 minutes walk from North Sydney train station. If the hours work in with lectures and classes, the role might suit a university student looking to commit to 25 hours per week for the next +6 months.
Working afternoons, with the ability to occasionally work 8am-1pm, you will ensure the reception area presents a positive first impression of the company, greet visitors and provide a high quality of administrative support to the business.
Key responsibilities
Greet all visitors, accept and direct parcels, answer calls and distribute messages.
Ensure the reception area and all meeting rooms are maintained and present a positive first impression.
Administrative duties are varied and could include data entry, mail sorting, stationery orders, catering, coordinating entry passes and car park access, ordering couriers plus other administrative support as required.
About you
Experience greeting visitors/administration with intermediate skills in Outlook, Word and Excel.
A professional, dynamic and customer focused outlook.
Demonstrated experience establishing working relationships with a broad range of people.
The ability to cover the 8am-1pm shift when needed.
This position is urgent requiring the successful candidate to commence immediately.

UGL Regional Linx was established in 2021, after parent company, UGL Limited was selected to deliver operations and maintenance of rail infrastructure for the Country Regional Network (CRN). This network ensures the safe movement of people and goods throughout the regions of NSW, and links Sydney with many important regional centres.
UGL Regional Linx commenced operations on January 30 2022 and works on behalf of the client, Transport for NSW (TfNSW) and will be responsible for managing an important network of assets. As part of its operation, UGL Regional Linx’s scope of work includes:
• Network operations
• Rail infrastructure maintenance and implementation of a new train control system - UGL’s proprietary system, Sigview.
• Asset and property management, and
• Safety, access, performance, and environmental management.

The CRN network includes:
• 2,386 route kilometres of operational passenger and freight rail lines, including 996 km of branch line track used predominantly for haulage of grain, with lower mass and speed limits than other parts of the network
• 3,139 route kilometres of non-operational lines
• 27,000 hectares of land and infrastructure
• 1,312 level crossings (300 active)
• 1,200 property assets (including 356 heritage sites)
• 600 rail under bridges and 384 road overbridges
