UGL’s Fuels and Energy East business is seeking a motivated Planner Scheduler to join our team. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining integrated schedules for the removal of offshore platforms across Bass Strait on behalf of Esso Australia. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-profile project and advance your career in planning and scheduling.

Reporting to the Project Controls Lead, you will be responsible for creating and optimising master and platform-specific schedules, supporting readiness gates, and ensuring critical path activities are achieved. You will collaborate closely with delivery teams, subcontractors, and project controls to provide accurate schedule data for reporting and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain integrated schedules for all platforms, including premobilisation activities and work packs.
  • Monitor progress, analyse burned and earned hours, and support efficient site performance.
  • Identify critical path activities, manage dependencies, and recommend actions to maintain schedule integrity.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and internal teams to ensure accurate integration of planned works.
  • Support project controls with schedule and progress data for internal and external reporting.

About You

  • Offshore Platform exposure is essential
  • Trade or tertiary qualification with strong planning and scheduling experience.
  • Proficient in Primavera P6 scheduling software 
  • Strong administration and computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in offshore execution methodologies and stakeholder management.
  • Collaborative, organised, and adaptable with excellent communication skills.

About UGL Limited

UGL Regional Linx was established in 2021, after parent company, UGL Limited was selected to deliver operations and maintenance of rail infrastructure for the Country Regional Network (CRN). This network ensures the safe movement of people and goods throughout the regions of NSW, and links Sydney with many important regional centres.

UGL Regional Linx commenced operations on January 30 2022 and works on behalf of the client, Transport for NSW (TfNSW) and will be responsible for managing an important network of assets. As part of its operation, UGL Regional Linx’s scope of work includes:
• Network operations
• Rail infrastructure maintenance and implementation of a new train control system - UGL’s proprietary system, Sigview.

• 2,386 route kilometres of operational passenger and freight rail lines, including 996 km of branch line track used predominantly for haulage of grain, with lower mass and speed limits than other parts of the network
• 3,139 route kilometres of non-operational lines
• 27,000 hectares of land and infrastructure
• 1,312 level crossings (300 active)
• 1,200 property assets (including 356 heritage sites)
• 600 rail under bridges and 384 road overbridges

The CRN is a crucial piece of infrastructure to regional NSW and UGL Regional Linx is committed to ensure that it delivers for all customers, from rail passengers to farmers and industry.
