About the role
Based out of our North Sydney head office, the L&D / OD Advisor is a great role for someone early in their L&D career who wants broad exposure across Learning, Organisational Development, and Early Careers development.
This permanent full time role is critical to support and coordinate our Graduate, Undergraduate, Apprentice and Trainee programs, while also assisting with wider OD initiatives such as performance cycles, succession planning, engagement surveys and capability development.

Key responsibilities
Coordinate Graduate Program activities (Induction, Development Days, Graduation), manage graduate rotations, and attend early careers fairs.
Manage incentive claims for Apprenticeships & Trainees.
Support LMS tasks to include uploading ready-made content, troubleshooting user issues, and updating material.
Contribute to L&D facilitation, ranging from icebreakers to full learning sessions.
Assist with organisation wide OD activities such as performance and talent cycles, engagement survey insights, and preparing presentation packs and manager toolkits.

Some exposure to OD practices (performance, engagement, succession) would be great, or a strong desire to learn.
Tech savvy and comfortable with Excel, creating packs and providing LMS support.
Strong communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders across all levels.

UGL Regional Linx was established in 2021, after parent company, UGL Limited was selected to deliver operations and maintenance of rail infrastructure for the Country Regional Network (CRN). This network ensures the safe movement of people and goods throughout the regions of NSW, and links Sydney with many important regional centres.
UGL Regional Linx commenced operations on January 30 2022 and works on behalf of the client, Transport for NSW (TfNSW) and will be responsible for managing an important network of assets. As part of its operation, UGL Regional Linx’s scope of work includes:
• Network operations
• Rail infrastructure maintenance and implementation of a new train control system - UGL’s proprietary system, Sigview.
• Asset and property management, and
• Safety, access, performance, and environmental management.
UGL Regional Linx has made a strong commitment to local and indigenous employment, further strengthening the organisation’s commitment to regional NSW. As part of its operations, UGL Regional Linx established its head office and Network Control Centre in the heart of the Central West, Orange, NSW.
The CRN network includes:
• 2,386 route kilometres of operational passenger and freight rail lines, including 996 km of branch line track used predominantly for haulage of grain, with lower mass and speed limits than other parts of the network
• 3,139 route kilometres of non-operational lines
• 27,000 hectares of land and infrastructure
• 1,312 level crossings (300 active)
• 1,200 property assets (including 356 heritage sites)
• 600 rail under bridges and 384 road overbridges
The CRN is a crucial piece of infrastructure to regional NSW and UGL Regional Linx is committed to ensure that it delivers for all customers, from rail passengers to farmers and industry.
