UGL’s Major projects division supports mission critical infrastructure projects including Data Centre’s, Rail, Road and Tunnel Infrastructure projects around Australia.

Due to growth, we are seeking a Senior Services Manager to join the team in Melbourne.

ABOUT THE POSITION ON OFFER

The role of the Commissioning Manager is to ensure successful commissioning and handback in accordance with T&C standards and contractual requirements.

  • Review the design and identify areas of improvement to aid the T&C programme and/or ability to commission systems.
  • Develop a robust scope of works for each T&C Package.
  • Define T&C Strategy, planning and deliver Test and Commissioning activities.
  • Checking & verifying all resources have the correct competency required to deliver the tasks.
  • Auditing of testing documentation to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Monitoring of testing activities against the program and reporting progress.
  • Manage T&C compliance, quality assurance, processes & tools to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership, direction, supervision and inspirational management to all team members.
      

Your skills and experience:    

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or trade background in M&E Services
  • Experienced working on Data Centre Projects
  • Australian Driver’s License
  • Minimum 10 years experience as a Commissioning Manager 
  • Demonstrated commercial/financial acumen.
  • Strong ability to drive and motivate consultants and contractors to achieve quality and project milestones.
  • Known for strong analytical thinking, effective problem-solving, and clear communication.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively in diverse teams, managing multiple projects, and maintaining a strategic focus.

About UGL Limited

UGL Regional Linx was established in 2021, after parent company, UGL Limited was selected to deliver operations and maintenance of rail infrastructure for the Country Regional Network (CRN). This network ensures the safe movement of people and goods throughout the regions of NSW, and links Sydney with many important regional centres.

UGL Regional Linx commenced operations on January 30 2022 and works on behalf of the client, Transport for NSW (TfNSW) and will be responsible for managing an important network of assets. As part of its operation, UGL Regional Linx’s scope of work includes:

• 2,386 route kilometres of operational passenger and freight rail lines, including 996 km of branch line track used predominantly for haulage of grain, with lower mass and speed limits than other parts of the network
• 3,139 route kilometres of non-operational lines
• 27,000 hectares of land and infrastructure
• 1,312 level crossings (300 active)
• 1,200 property assets (including 356 heritage sites)
• 600 rail under bridges and 384 road overbridges

The CRN is a crucial piece of infrastructure to regional NSW and UGL Regional Linx is committed to ensure that it delivers for all customers, from rail passengers to farmers and industry.
