Overview
Prepares patients for accurate EKG tracings including Holter/Event monitors, prepares patients for stress/nuclear testing, and works closely with nuclear technologist and RN.
Qualifications
Age of Patients Served: All Age Groups. Required Education: High School Diploma or GED Preferred Education: Advance Career Training as PCT or MA. Necessary Skills: Ability to control/diffuse disruptive situations. Good interpersonal skills. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work under pressure including prioritizing in a crisis. Knowledge of Data-entry. Good time management and organizational skills. Proper telephone etiquette. Team-player attitude. Required Licensure/Certifications: BLS from the American Heart Association Successful completion of Arrythmia/EKG course within 6 months of hire or transfer into the position. Completion of competency of starting IV's within 6 months of hire or transfer into the position. Required Experience: Less than one year performing EKGs.
