Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
AA/AS degree in health information, information technology or related field. Three years progressively responsible work experience in health information or registration department; or BA/BS in health information management or information technology with one-year health information and/or registration experience.  If education (completed) is NOT concentrated on health information or information technology, will also consider dedicated 4-5 years of progressive medical records or registration experience. Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Experience using multiple healthcare computer systems/applications.  Proficient in using Microsoft Office products especially Word and Excel.  Must demonstrate ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, recognize and react to changing priorities, make timely and accurate judgment decisions, and work independent of direct supervision.  Must be able to work in an environment where access to and control of confidential information is a significant issue.  Excellent organization skills and high productivity required.  Must have excellent communication skills and be able to train others.
