FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION: 

Complies with set safety standards while performing essential job functions. Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and Company directives related to building operations and work safety. Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance.  Completes maintenance and repair records as required. Reviews assigned work orders.  Estimates time and materials needed to complete repairs.   Assists with installation and modification of building equipment systems. Assists with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Reports to the TWPC Facility Support Manager.
  • Responsible for maintaining a 433.1b compliant Maintenance Program
  • Responsible for all work performed by TWPC Maintenance Personnel.
  • Responsible for completion of Surveillance Requirements on CM Level 1 Equipment/Systems.
  • Responsible for maintaining the Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, and Facility Modifications Work Orders in the Computerized Maintenance Management System 
  • Responsible for Monthly Performance, Objective, Measures & Commitments Reporting
  • Coordinates work assignments to the Maintenance Leads and Maintenance Work Coordinators.  
  • Coordinates with other departments to establish standard, effective Maintenance Planning.
  • Responsible for ensuring coordination and scheduling of vendors and visitors related to Maintenance Activities.
  • Responsible for ensuring the Maintenance Preventive Maintenance Schedule is a minimum of 8 weeks out.
  • Responsible for Development and Revisions on Maintenance Technical Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Assist with the Screening Process for Corrective Maintenance activities.
  • Assist Work Control with the development of Work Packages.
  • Responsible for Maintaining the TWPC Hoisting and Rigging Database.
  • Responsible for Maintaining the TWPC Portable Equipment Database.
  • Assist Engineering with walkdowns and Design Input.
  • Field Work – Assist with Maintenance Work under emergent conditions if needed - During Normal Work hours, after hours, call-ins and scheduled shutdowns.

Required Training/Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
  • Successful completion of DOE Order 426.2 Qualification Cards for work on Active Safety Systems and Passive Design Features is required.
  • Initial and continuing training specific to Roles and Responsibilities is provided as required.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:  

Grade 27:

Maintenance Supervisor: 

12 years of directly related experience in Maintenance, Construction, and/or Facility Operations; Minimum of five years of supervision experience with three years of supervision experience at a DOE Facility. Must have strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the company. Must be able to obtain and maintain the required DOE credential.  Computer Skills: Microsoft Office and Internet navigation.

 

Grade 28:

 

Maintenance Manager I:

15 years of directly related experience in Maintenance, Construction, and/or Facility Operations; Minimum of eight years of supervision experience with five years of supervision experience at a DOE Facility. Must have strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the company. Must be able to obtain and maintain the required DOE credential.  Computer Skills: Microsoft Office and Internet navigation.

 

Grade 29:

 

Maintenance Manager II:

Extensive Maintenance, Construction, and Project related experience. Possesses a thorough knowledge of all Maintenance, Engineering, and Facility Operations disciplines, construction technologies and job site management. Minimum of twelve years of supervision experience with eight years of supervision experience at a DOE Category 1 or 2 Nuclear Facility. Must have strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the company. Must be able to obtain and maintain the required DOE credential.  Computer Skills: Microsoft Office and Internet navigation.
