Duties:

Tasked with supporting and maintaining the systems and services of the enterprise. Supports the efforts of information systems within a discipline, including application support, database administration, software quality assurance/quality control or software engineering. Occasionally performs moderately complex assignments that require initiative and independent judgement in the selection and use of established principles and procedures. Performs a range of work activities in a wide variety of contexts. Plans, schedules, and monitors own work within a limited time horizon.

Job-Related Qualifications Required:

Currently pursuing or recently completed coursework toward an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 

Ability to problem solve and work independently. Strong knowledge in Windows operating systems and IT help desk ticketing systems. Familiarity with Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software solutions and Enterprise Applications (e.g., ERP, CRM, financial systems). Basic understanding of software systems, databases, and application integration. Foundation skills in SQL and comfortable working with datta or reporting tools.  Awareness of APIs, web services (REST/SOAP), or other integration methods is beneficial. Exposure to system configuration, troubleshooting, or patch management through coursework or hands-on labs. Interest in learning ITIL principles, system documentation, and change management practices. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Strong organizational and time management skills to balance academic and professional responsibilities.

The 2026 UCOR Summer Internship Program is a 12-week program held from late May to early August. You must be able to be onsite for the entire internship program.
