Description
UConn Health Imaging is seeking a Tech Assistant to join our patient-focused team!
Position Status: part-time flex (20-30 hours/week)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Location: outpatient imaging center located in Farmington, CT
This position will assist our Technologists, primarily the MRI Department
JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Radiology Medical Director and/or the Technologist, the Technologist Assistant:
- Is responsible for supporting the radiology staff and providing the first clinical point of contact for patients.
- Facilitates the patient flow to minimize patient wait times and maximize the utilization of resources.
- Demonstrates competence with all imaging safety compliance initiatives.
- Serves as part of the imaging center team and seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice.

Requirements
EDUCATION:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. medical terminology preferred, study registered rad program. radiology experience.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.
