We are looking for a Manufacturing Systems Engineer who is proactive, organized, and collaborative to join our Systems team, based at our UCB campus in Braine-l'Alleud, Belgium.

 

About the Role

As a Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in production planning and technical support for the Biologics and Chemical Pilot Plants, as well as setting up future activities for the Gene Therapy Pilot Plant. You will be responsible for managing technical aspects of equipment, system projects, and continuous improvements to ensure robust operations and operational excellence. 

 

Who You Will Work With

 You’ll be part of the dynamic Systems team, collaborating with engineers, project managers, and technical experts across multiple disciplines to ensure on continuous improvement of equipment, systems, and methods to ensure business continuity and enhance the efficiency of UCB's Pilot Plants.

 

What You Will Do

  • You will manage the technical aspects of system projects, improvements, and maintenance.
  • You will be responsible for integrating technical interventions into the production planning tool.
  • You will supervise the planning of manufacturing campaigns and associated support activities.
  • You will coordinate and lead follow-up meetings with key stakeholders.
  • You will lead and coordinate technical interventions, facilities revamping, shutdowns, and maintenance activities.  
  • You will act as the system owner for various systems supporting the Pilot Plants.

 

Interested?

For this role, we are looking for the following education, experience, and skills:

  • Master's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in relevant sector.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing planning tools (e.g. RTMS, MS Excel, MS Project). 
  • Project leadership skills and supervision of technical interventions.
  • Ability to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to decompose complex requirements.
  • Proficiency in IT technologies, manufacturing software (MES) and automation technologies (PCS7) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills in both French and English.
