UCB is looking for a Rare Disease Partner who has the ability to drive demand generation in public and private institutions and sectors, educate key decision-makers about the molecule indications and the disease, facilitate access, and eliminate barriers to treatment adoption within the rare disease ecosystem in Mexico. Based in GDL

 


About the role:

The Rare Disease Partner is a hybrid role that combines expertise in strategic sales, access, and high-level discussions. The primary objective is to drive demand generation in public and private institutions, educate key decision-makers in the public and private sectors about the molecule indications and the disease, facilitate access, and eliminate barriers to treatment adoption within the rare disease ecosystem in Mexico.

 

Navigate private and public reimbursement processes, optimizing patient referral pathways, and positioning the unmet medical need within the healthcare ecosystem, driving early diagnosis, and enabling therapy financing while ensuring long-term sustainability, to expand product adoption to contributing changing the pathway to a better reality for families lives living with rare diseases

 

Who you’ll work with:

  • Private & Public institutions & sectors

  • Market Access teams (KAMs & Pharmacoeconomics)

  • Medical Affairs and Marketing teams

  • Medical specialties such as e.g neuro pediatricians, geneticists, epileptologists, and key stakeholder specialists.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Adapt the value proposition to different payers (HCPs & Administrative stakeholders) and environments, ensuring its relevance and alignment with institutional objectives.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop access strategies and optimize the molecule's positioning in the healthcare ecosystem to facilitate drug inclusion and budget allocation

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key decision-makers in institutions to ensure patient access to UCB therapies.

  • Identify barriers in the acquisition and reimbursement process for the therapy and work on strategic solutions in collaboration with the Access Team.

  • Manage institutional guidelines for drug access (Eg. Control Access Tower or specific patients' budget allocation).

  • Act as a facilitator between the organization and institutions to optimize procurement and therapy acquisition processes.

  • Align commercial strategies with internal teams and external stakeholders to maximize impact on treatment adoption

  • Develop and execute Institutional access patient flow strategies, ensuring physicians are equipped to identify and refer patients for confirmatory diagnosis and treatment

  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs and MSLs to educate HCPs on clinical guidelines, diagnosis pathways, and case management best practices.

 

Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration with Market Access, Medical, and Commercial teams.

  • Familiarity with the Mexican healthcare system, including IMSS, ISSSTE, Pemex, CCINSHAE, and High Specialty Hospitals.

  • Experience with Tower Control processes, consolidated purchases, and patient access initiatives

  • Experience in such roles as Key Account Management, Market Access, or Medical Sales.

  • Language: Spanish & English
