We are seeking a strategic and inspiring Head of Immunology for East Central Europe (ECE) Cluster (covering Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary) to lead our immunology team and deliver exceptional value for patients, healthcare professionals, and UCB.
The role is based in Warsaw, Poland or Prague, Czech Republic.
About the role
As the Head of Immunology for ECE Cluster, you will lead the immunology strategy and execution, taking responsibility for the overall performance of our products and services within the ECE cluster to achieve UCB’s business goals.
Your leadership will foster a culture of patient centricity, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration, maximizing value for patients and the business.
Who you will work with
You will lead the cross-functional Immunology Leadership Team of Marketing & Medical (Strategy) Leads and Ecosystem Leads. You’ll also integrate other internal functions into a cross-functional team and be an active member of both the ECE Cluster Leadership Team and the EU Head of Immunology community.
What you’ll do
- Develop and execute tailored strategies to achieve immunology and financial goals for the ECE cluster.
- Build and lead a high-performing, cross-functional team, ensuring alignment with UCB’s Patient Value Strategy.
- Drive the market leader position for key immunology growth drivers and deliver on financial targets.
- Ensure agile resource allocation and initiative deployment based on in-depth ecosystem knowledge.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Medical, Access, and other internal teams.
- Adjust strategies to local needs and insights, maximizing patient value and developing brand objectives.
- Prepare for best-in-class product launches and drive excellence in execution, including digital transformation and omnichannel engagement.
- Uphold the highest standards of ethics, compliance, and quality in all activities, in line with UCB’s code of business conduct and industry guidelines.
What You’ll Need
- Master’s, Ph.D., Law (J.D.), or Medical Degree (M.D.); MBA preferred.
- Fluent in English, with Polish or Czech at a highly proficient level.
- 10+ years of healthcare-related sales, marketing, market access, and/or medical experience. Plus 5+ years’ experience leading multidisciplinary and/or matrixed teams (preferably as Business Unit Head or similar). Launch experience and in Immunology.
- In-depth knowledge of the healthcare system and environment.
- Proven cross-functional leadership and strong business, scientific, financial, and compliance acumen.
- Experience in project management, suppliers’ management, and budget management.
- Understanding of pricing and reimbursement strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
