What is the Graduate Development Program (GDP)?

The GDP is a two-year rotational program designed to launch your career within our Patient Impact organization. Over four rotations, you’ll be part of real projects, collaborate with experts, and gain a 360° view of how medicines move from the laboratory to patients.

  • Medical Affairs & Evidence Generation (translating scientific and real‑world evidence into patient‑centric medical strategies)
  • Digital Health & Medical Communications (delivering accurate, accessible, and impactful medical information through omnichannel solutions)
  • RealWorld Evidence & Outcomes (using external data to demonstrate meaningful impact on patients’ lives and inform future research)
  • PatientCentric Strategy & Access (collaborating cross‑functionally to ensure optimal access, value, and long‑term benefit for patients)

Who you’ll work with

During your rotations, you will:

  • Rely on a “buddy” to support your day-to-day integration
  • Be part of UCB’s Early Talent community, joining workshops, site visits, and networking events

What you’ll learn

Throughout the program, you will:

  • Be able to master the digital communications with proven examples of impactful project execution to prepare yourself for the next 10 years of pharma innovation roles.

  • Gain skills to be able to build your career in medical affairs and medical communications

  • Be able to gain experience to be able to continue in a medical writing and publication role in the future

  • Be able to gain experience to be able to continue your career in real world evidence roles, but also have an overview on clinical study designs, protocols and the critical steps in decision making
