We are looking for an Ethics & Business Integrity Manager who is proactive, collaborative, and solutions-driven to join our Ethics & Business Integrity team. The preferred location is our office in Monheim/Germany, alternatively the office in Vienna/Austria.

 

About the role

Approximately 70% of your time will be dedicated to maintaining and operationalizing our Ethics & Business Integrity program in Germany. This includes managing compliance risks, supporting business stakeholders, and fostering an ethical, compliant culture across the organization. You will ensure adherence to local industry regulations while contributing to global initiatives that strengthen our overall compliance framework. The remaining 30% of your time will be devoted to driving and supporting the Ethics & Business Integrity program in the ALPs region (Austria & Switzerland).

 

Who you’ll work with

You will partner with business stakeholder in Germany and across the ALPs, working closely with key local functions such as Legal and Medical Affairs, while reporting to the Business Integrity Lead Germany. In this highly collaborative role, you will advise colleagues on healthcare interactions, shape compliance standards, and contribute to a strong culture of ethics across the organization. You will also represent UCB in external industry associations, ensuring we stay ahead of evolving regulatory and industry trends.

 

What you’ll do

  • Implement and maintain local compliance policies, procedures, and programs in line with regulations and codes.
  • Perform compliance risk management and oversee due diligence processes for outsourced activities.
  • Perform field- and/or desk- monitoring activities as described in the annual plan.
  • Deliver Ethics & Business Integrity training to employees and third parties.
  • Support audits and reviews, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.
  • Advise business stakeholders on ethical practices and foster a compliance-driven culture.
  • Participate in local industry trade groups to maintain regulatory awareness.
  • Participate in ALPs Leadership team meetings.

 

Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • CCEP/CCP-I Certification or alternative E&BI education program is an advantage.
  • Ideally 2 years of experience in healthcare regulatory or consulting roles.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards and compliance best practices.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build trust across all levels.
  • Fluent in German and English and/or French is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, solve problems, and collaborate in a cross-functional environment.
