Job Description

About game – A dancing game for multiple players including a collection of songs each with their own dance choreographies. During each song, players mirror the dance performed by actors on the screen, following commands that appear on the screen, and are awarded for their accuracy.

Job Summary:  As a ‘Dance Level Designer’, with high judgmental skills and good dancing skills, you will be testing the game with different energy levels and types of dancing to make sure the scoring feedback is fair. As well as, perform the exact dance moves to give captures when needed. Excellent communication skills are important for this role.

Job title - Retainer Dance Level Designer

Responsibilities: 

  • Be responsible for assigned maps’ delivery with quality in the assigned time.
  • Tweaking and testing the song with different test cases and taking a call on the accuracy of scoring so that the scoring is fair and balanced.
  • Playtest the songs of other LDs and give them feedback.
  • Be able to give high quality captures by performing the exact dance moves, which would be used for scoring.
  • Ensure that the quality of work is always maintained in all the situations.
  • Judging the quality of scoring feedback.
  • Learning the choreography of the received songs perfectly.
  • Be able to Capture their own takes when required to add in the game while tweaking scoring.
  • Performing basic troubleshooting for any issues faced during the entire score level designing process.
  • Communicating efficiently with local and collaborating teams.
  • Be available to rush if needed.

Job KPIs –

  • Understanding the dance level design process.
  • On time and quality delivery of maps as per the expectations specified during onboarding.

Qualifications

  • Passionate for dancing with good dancing skills.
  • Comfortable working with basic PC softwares like Microsoft office, teams etc.
  • High level of concentration and judging skills.
  • Technically strong and spontaneous in handling minor issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (to motivate and interact with the dancers, play testers and collaborating studio team members.)
  • Sound knowledge of different dance styles is a plus.
  • Perform the dance moves present in-game perfectly.
  • Motivated to work under pressure.
  • Work autonomously once trained, creative.
  • Have a positive can-do attitude, quick learner and able to do multitasking.
