Overview

U-Haul Operations is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Operations Business Intelligence Analyst. This individual will play a critical role in transforming financial data into actionable insights that drive operational efficiency and informed decision-making in U-Haul’s Financial Operations.

Job Description

As the Operations Business Intelligence Analyst, you will contribute to BI initiatives, the implementation of processes, and assist with data projects that align with organizational goals. You will work with a team of financial and business analysts, cross-functionally collaborate with stakeholders, and deliver innovative reporting and analytics solutions that optimize financial operations. This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping the BI strategy for critical financial operations functions.

Responsibilities

· Contribute to the advancement of Operations financial analytics and reporting.

· Develop and maintain data pipelines related to competitor products and services to uncover new opportunities.

· Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial data across BI platforms.

· Design and deliver dashboards, KPIs, and trend analyses to support operational and strategic decisions.

· Take part in BI projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.

· Participate in continuous process improvement by proposing and implementing new methods, tools, and workflows.

· Partner with Operations teams to identify data needs and deliver actionable insights.

· Communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications & Skills

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Data Science, or related field.

· 2+ years of experience in Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, Financial Analytics, or related roles.

· Experience using software tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Power BI, programming languages).

· Experience with SQL, data modeling, and ETL processes.

· Experience performing data analysis and visualization using Databricks.

· Strong proficiency in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) and data visualization is essential.

· Must be able to work independently, take initiatives with projects, and be self-motivated

· Experience using BI Tools to derive valuable insights.

· Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.

· Familiarity with ERP systems and financial platforms is a plus.

· Knowledge of U-Haul’s Payment Processing, AR, and AP workflows is a plus.

· Be intellectually curious with a drive to continuously learn.

· Adaptability and Flexibility to tackle new environments and challenges.

· Ability to display emotional intelligence and a willingness to cross-functionally collaborate.
