Starting Pay $19.65 -$28.05/hr plus a $2.00 shift premium
Shift D days/hours: Wednesday night/Thursday morning 1 am to 7 am and Thursday, Friday, Saturday nights 7 pm to 7 am

Description
This position is responsible for general maintenance throughout the plant while adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Tasks
Must be able to use basic hand tools. Basic mechanical or maintenance skills, knowledge in areas of welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics & plumbing, 1 year or more experience in welding and industrial maintenance, able to read & understand assignments, able to communicate orally & in writing, able to hear/respond to two-way radio, able to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders up to 60 feet, able to stand for long periods of time, withstand extreme hot, cold, inclement weather & odors, basic knowledge of math, able to use various electrical & pneumatic power tools & equipment. May monitor boiler and perform chemical test on boiler. May be required to read drawings & schematics of hydraulic & basic electrical systems. Must be certified to operate various pieces of gas/hydraulic motors/lifts. Performs duties such as welding, cutting, minor electrical repair, removing, replacement of motor shafts, couplings, pumps, augers, water & steam pipes, lines, & systems. Prefer individual be respirator qualified. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Willing to further education by outside training, company testing program & vendor training. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Requirements
Must have 1 year of Maintenance/ Mechanical experience and 6 months of continuous employment in the last 2 years.
Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Tyson Foods.
