About this role

Job Details:

This position is responsible to diagnose issues, adjust, repair, and perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment while complying with Department of Transportation rules and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment, and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

This position is slated for internal candidates currently working in this complex, if not successful internal candidate is selected than external candidates will be considered

Applicant hired in the position will start as an ME01.

Requirements:

· Must be able to provide own basic tools

· Must possess advanced wiring skills for lights and harnesses on vehicles

· Must possess welding skills. Must be able to take road service calls as needed.

· Must be able to service vehicles. (PM1, PM2) Must be able to perform PM6 – DOT inspections. (after 1 year)

· Must be able to perform loader repairs. Must be able to perform minor motor, transmission, and rear end repairs.

· Must be able to perform major trailer repairs. Must be able to work in cold, hot and/or wet conditions.

· Must have a valid Arkansas driver’s license with no more than two moving violations in the last two years to exclude D.U.I. (Driving Under the influence) conviction on his/her Motor Vehicle Record.

· Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a company license.

· Must maintain 5 points and under attendance policy.

· Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds.

Working Schedule: Sunday night – Thursday Night-- 8:00pm -4:00am, occasionally might have to work alternate shifts. night shift premium $2.00

Computer Skills: Must possess basic computer skills.

Communication Skills: Good interpersonal, writing and communication skills are critical

Safety: Must be able to understand and agree to follow Safety Rules

Requirements: 6 months of maintenance or mechanical experience.
