About this role

General Description

Creates schedules based on shop load, period of performance, and lead times per make and buy items.

Duties

  • Review routers prior to release.
  • Review BOMs as needed to help ensure accuracy.
  • Prints and distributes manufacturing data packages for assigned projects on scheduled plan release dates.
  • Attends material review board meetings and help determine root cause and help determine method for correcting nonconformance.
  • Coordinate with Program Managers and Manufacturing Engineers in implementing engineering changes.
  • Monitor the execution of the production plan and escalate potential issues in a timely manner.
  • Create and print vendor consignment notice and coordinates outside processing.
  • Work closely and maintain professional relationships with all members of the manufacturing team.
  • Expedite material from building to building "as required" to assist with production flow.
  • Helps develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
  • Maintain schedules and priorities of assigned projects to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Helps interpret company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
  • Assist Planning department with day to day operations.
  • Other Duties as assigned

Education/Experience requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience may be substituted for degree.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems. Cost Point 7 experience is a plus.
  • Requires a minimum of six (6) years of production experience.
  • Must be able to review and understand production routers/BOMS prior to release.
  • Must have experience in creating and working with Bills of Material and government drawings.
  • Ability to communicate well with co-workers and management.
  • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office to include excel, word, and outlook.
  • General Computer Skills required.
  • Able to multi-task; to include forecasting and effectively communication with a wide-variety of work disciplines to provide up-to-date technical information on queries associated with assigned projects.

  • Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows / knees, and reach above / below shoulders.
  • Works in a normal office environment with controlled temperature and lighting conditions
