Roadway Safety Manager – Construction & Fleet Operations Tucker Paving, Inc.
At Tucker Paving, Inc., safety goes far beyond paving. Our teams work across underground utilities, hauling, earthwork, concrete, and asphalt operations, which means every driver, vehicle, and job site must operate safely and compliantly.
We’re looking for a Roadway Safety Manager to help ensure that all employees operating company vehicles or working near roadways follow safety policies, FDOT/MOT requirements, and best practices.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain a visible safety presence at yards, job sites, and active roadways
- Monitor driver and vehicle compliance with company policies
- Conduct roadway, fleet, and jobsite safety inspections
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses
- Lead safety meetings and support driver training
- Work closely with Superintendents, Foremen, and Safety leadership
- Travel between sites using a company vehicle
What We’re Looking For
- 3 years of roadway, fleet, transportation, or construction safety experience
- Bilingual English / Spanish (required)
- FDOT / MOT knowledge or certification
- Smith Driver Trainer (or ability to obtain)
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- OSHA 30 preferred (not required)
