About this role

Description

The Material Handler is a team member who is authorized, responsible and accountable for maintaining quality standards by means of performing and documenting material handling activities in support of production injection molding and support operations, meeting defined production standards, schedules, and quality requirements. 


Under general supervision, responsibilities may include, and not limited to:

  • Prepares injection molding work centers for production runs.
  • Prepares raw materials and regrind for molding presses and drying hoppers. Sets dryers tocorrect operational temperature.
  • Ensures hoppers/loaders have material available to ensure continued production, keeps track ofmaterial weights during production and at the completion of the run.
  • Packages and returns leftover material to stock maintaining accuracy of material locations anddocuments in the operating system.
  • Cleans and maintains grinders for next operation.
  • Reports production issues and assist in resolutions as required.
  • Provides breaks to press operators as needed.
  • Maintains an organized, clean, and safe working environment.
  • Performs additional tasks and responsibilities at the discretion of the Production Manager, or designee.

This position is Monday through Thursday. 5:30am-3:30pm. 

Requirements

  • Authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a production environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with the use of machinery, hand, and power tools.
  • Ability to safely lift a minimum weight of 60 lbs.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and other guidance documents.
  • Detail orientated and ability to organize, prioritize, and plan work to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient communication and interpersonal skills.
