Job Title: Logistics DC Administrative Associate

Department: Supply Chain 

Reports to: Distribution Manager 

FLSA: Regular- Non-Exempt

Location: Hancock, MD

 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Logistics DC Administrative Associate will oversee supply chain processes and product delivery by tracking and reviewing invoices, shipment status, and delivery route activity.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collects, interprets, and analyzes various types of logistics data including availability of product, reliability of transport and delivery, and other data related to product supply chain management, sourcing, and distribution
  • Maintains database(s) of logistics information
  • Tracks product flow from origin to delivery via web-based logistics systems and other appropriate methods of monitoring inventory and shipment vehicles
  • Reviews logistics processes and procedures; identifies, recommends, and implements improvements to maximize delivery efficiency while minimizing costs
  • Uses analytic methods and tools to understand, predict, and/or control logistics operations and processes
  • Monitors warehouse facilities to evaluate inventory transactions such as receiving, storage, shipping, and inventory integrity
  • Performs other duties, as assigned

  

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum High School diploma
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clear driving record
  • Extensive knowledge of shipping and distribution channels
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with SAP, Microsoft Office Suite, or similar software
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, floor lifts, and forklifts
  • Must have the ability to balance customer satisfaction requirements with organizational objectives
  • Able to work independently and make crucial decisions
  • Must possess the mental and physical capacities necessary to perform the job duties

 

ADDITIONAL MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age (or a minimum of 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV)
  • Must be able to pass comprehensive background screening

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday
  • Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure requirements of this position can be fully met
  • Must function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with personnel and support agencies
  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
