Job Title: Cultivation Technician III

Department: Cultivation

Reports to: Cultivation Site Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly

 

JOB SUMMARY

The Cultivation Technician III provides manual labor to support the operations within the Cultivation department, while abiding by laws, rules, policies, procedures, and operational guidelines. The Cultivation Technician III position will primarily support the Clone and fertigation departments with day-to-day plant production tasks and sanitation responsibilities. In addition, as determined by business need, Cultivation Technician III team members may be flexed to provide support in flower, veg, and mom.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Physical, repetitive agricultural work, follow directions and take instructions from supervisors

· Repetitive climbing on a ladder or working on an elevated platform

· Culling plants

· Cutting, Sticking, and Tagging clones

· Proper clone care, irrigation, and dome management

· Irrigating plants utilizing various methods

· Identifying and disposing of Green Waste

· Documenting testing results through reports and logs

· Inputting data into the company database

· Pruning and defoliating

· Proper Use of PPE in accordance with company guidelines

· Sweep, mop, vacuum, and bag any excess plant material leaving the grow room clean once plant maintenance is completed

· Clean, sanitize, and store all grow room tools and equipment upon use

· Assist in training Cultivation Technician I and II team members

· Perform various manual cross-department job duties as needed

· Secondary but essential job functions

· All other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS

· Must be proficient and achieve goals in all Cultivation Technician I and II skill assessments

· Must be active in the Cultivation Technician II role for a minimum of 6 months to qualify for Cultivation Technician III role

· Maintain good discipline and attendance standards

· Effective communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

· Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment

· Works well in a team environment

· Attention to detail

· Punctual

· Cultivation experience preferred

 

ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Must be a minimum of 21 years of age (or a minimum of 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV)

· Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)

· Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance

· Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stooping, kneeling, crouching, repetitive movement, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks

· At times, the entire shift may be spent standing

· Requires repetitive hand, wrist, finger and elbow movement

· Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, and visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions

· Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)

Salary will be commensurate with experience.   A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position.
