Job Title: Communications Specialist

Business Unit: Human Resources

Location: Remote / Must Live in EST

Reports To: Human Resources Manager

 

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Corporate Communications Specialist is responsible for supporting the implementation of internal communications required in support of specific strategic goals and overall mission. The Communications Specialist will assist with the execution of the growing Corporate Communications programs.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support in coordination of the company’s corporate communications strategy, messaging and tactical execution of projects and programs to build our corporate brand visibility.
  • Develop, with team direction, the strategy of awards and speaking opportunities including writing, tracking and execution of awards and speaking submissions.
  • Gain knowledge of Trulieve’s products, market segments, market trends, and competitors to optimize communications programs.
  • Maintain good relationships with company departments including Legal, HR, Marketing, Processing and Cultivation, and Sales.
  • Work closely on supporting communications with internal stakeholders.
  • Support Corporate Communications team with various administrative duties including database entry, calendar management and organizational assistance.
  • Additional duties as requested by leadership.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of experience in corporate or public relations communication positions for a public company or a consulting agency.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, or Public Relations preferred.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience working with executive staff.
  • Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills.
  • Analytical thinking/problem solving: Accurately assesses problems and effectively and efficiently arrives at solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and with groups.
  • Working knowledge of the cannabis market a plus but not required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

 

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • 40+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on department needs. Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
