We are seeking a highly skilled Windows Server Engineer to join our Infrastructure & Operations team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the Windows Server Operating System, strong PowerShell scripting abilities, and hands on experience performing in place upgrades and standardized server build procedures. This role requires a detail oriented engineer passionate about automation, system reliability, and delivering high quality platform services.

This position is office-centric 5 days a week in one of the following offices. (Greensboro, NC, Atlanta, GA, Charlotte, NC, Raleigh, NC, Richmond VA or Wilson, NC.)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Performs problem tracking, diagnosis and root-cause analysis, replication, troubleshooting, and resolution for moderately complex issues.
2. In this capacity, performs programming and debugging activities.
3. Responds to issues in a timely manner by receiving and investigating incidents or service tickets.
4. Analyzes and observes trends with technical issues and provides input to developing long-term improvements.
5. Documents all relevant end-user interactions and steps taken to resolve incidents.
6. Has occasional contact with end-users.
7. Communicates status of issue resolution to internal customers.
8. May engage and manage external vendors.
9. Applies an understanding of key business processes and practical experience to solve a range of straightforward problems.
10. Analyzes possible solutions using experience, judgment and precedents.
11. Works under moderate supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1. Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in application support or development or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
2. Knowledge in information systems and ability to apply that knowledge in practice.
3. Ability to manage competing priorities.
4. Ability to solve problems in straightforward situations by analyzing possible solutions using experience, judgment and precedents.
5. Experience participating in IT projects.
6. Ability to communicate complex information in straightforward situations.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree and three years of experience.
2. Banking or financial services experience.
3. 3 to 5+ years of hands‑on experience administering Windows Server OS in enterprise environments.

4. Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and systems administration.

5. Demonstrated experience performing in‑place upgrades and system migrations.

6. Solid understanding of server build standards, imaging, and lifecycle management.

7. Experience with Nutanix (AHV, Prism, cluster management).

8. Exposure to infrastructure automation frameworks (e.g., DSC, Ansible, Terraform).

9. Experience with ServiceNow for incidents, change, problem, and CMDB processes.

10. Understanding of virtualization technologies (Hyper‑V, VMware).

11. Experience managing and support Windows Server environments (2012 R2–2022).

12. Strong troubleshooting skills related to performance, reliability, and security issues.
