Job Description:

REGIONAL PROJECT MANAGER

Summary

Oversees Project Managers who oversees multiple construction type projects within a warehouse.  Develop project plans; coordinate projects, communicate change and progress; manage project team’s activities. Work with customer’s management team on resolving problems to ensure deadlines are met.  Inspect work on a regular basis to make certain quality and OSHA safety guidelines are met.  Perform other job duties as requested to support business operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reports to DM.
  • Reporting to supervisor, multiple site PMs, and the client.
  • Oversee all aspects of each project.
  • Inform client and site PM with any concerns that will impact the project.
  • Model professional behavior always.
  • Ability to understand and communicate information is essential.
  • Report to work as scheduled, on time and prepared to work.
  • Carry out administrative responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Manage team of Project Managers and multiple sites.
  • Assists HR in recruits and hires staff.  Provides Performance Evaluations. 
  • Work with HR on employee relations including counseling and terminations.
  • Ensure additional materials needed to complete tasks are ordered in a timely manner.
  • Work flexible schedule that may include overtime, nights, and weekends.
  • Develop and maintain schedule to track all phases of the project to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Conducts regular walk-through meetings with Project Managers.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and online reports in a timely manner.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned my management.
  • High availability to travel.  Up to 100% travel required.

Qualifications

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalency.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of practical construction project knowledge.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years in supervising and motivating subordinates.
  • OSHA 30 certification within 2 months of hire date
  • Ability to work independently to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Work effectively in team environment and provide support, assistance, and coaching where needed.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the assignment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Certified to operate a forklift

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Frequently required to walk a long distance and stand for long periods of time.
  • Frequently required to bend, stoop, or kneel.
  • Occasionally required to operate equipment.  Must be certified.
  • Frequently required to lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds or more on occasion.
  • Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts.
  • May be exposed to extreme heat or cold depending on the location and phase of the project.
