Salary Range:  $80,000 - $120,000 (Based on experience)

 

Position Summary

The Electrical Project Manager is responsible for overseeing commercial/industrial, medium-to-large-scale electrical projects from initiation through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams while maintaining excellent client relationships.

 


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and manage all phases of electrical projects, including scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and resource allocation.
  • Able to execute decisions efficiently and effectively to everyone involved with the project.
  • Able to work as a team player alongside foreman, providing them with communicative data in real time.
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and contracts to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Manage change orders, cost tracking, and project documentation.
  • Foster strong client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communications.
  • Estimate from time to time and able to prepare proposed change orders utilizing estimating tools.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 4+ years of experience in electrical project management, with at least 2 years managing projects independently.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and construction practices.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code) and OSHA safety standards.
  • Experience with estimating software (e.g., Accubid, Conest, McCormick).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Experience in commercial, industrial, and renewable energy projects.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with medium voltage and complex electrical distribution systems.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design tools.
  • Experience with BIM and collaborating with BIM teams.
  • Experience with prefabrication processes.

 

Work Environment

  • Combination of office and field work.
  • Requires travel to project sites.
  • Occasional evening or weekend work to meet project deadlines.
